Between Fad and Fashion: Know the Difference

Fashion is always changing and you sometimes end up not being able to catch up with it. How many times have you bought a new outfit and ended up just wearing it once because it was no longer in fashion? Were there times that you bought a lot of stuff that ended up at the back of your closet, never to see daylight again? Don’t you just cringe when you remember what you wore it once just because it was the “trend”?

With the way fashion changes in an instant, it becomes really difficult to distinguish which is fad and which is true fashion. You most probably end up buying tons of stuff that you never get to wear the next year or worse, the next week, and thus, were not worth the money that you paid for them. Here are some tips to help you all along.

Know the Trend, Know Yourself

It is actually very easy to know what the next trend is going to be. You get a hint of this when you watch popular television shows and observe famous actors and actresses. Celebrities are usually the ones who promotes a new trend and if you don’t really like gossiping about their lives, then think that this is one way of finding out what the next fashion is going to be.

Finding what’s popular now is actually very easy. You will see images in magazines, designs copied in stores and the most telling part is when somebody you know is wearing them. The important question to ask yourself is, “Can I wear them?” and “Will I have the opportunity to wear it?”

Don’t just buy something because it is the new trend without being sure yourself that you can wear it. Don’t just stash it in the far corners of your closet thinking that you could probably put it to good use someday. There is really no point in buying something that you are not sure you could wear.

Keep Up with Fashion, Ignore the Fad

It is very tempting to buy the latest skinny jeans or indulge in a pair of espadrilles but you should stock up on the basics and classic pieces first. Classic pieces like the little black dress, black slacks, white button down shirt, jeans and a black pencil skirt are fashion pieces that never go out of style.

For example, leopard prints are the latest trend and you want to try the look out. Instead of buying every article of clothing that has a leopard print in it, why not buy a few accessory pieces or two just to satisfy your curiosity and give you that updated, new fashion look? You can buy headbands with leopard prints or pumps with leopard prints and pair those up with classic pieces like a pair of jeans and a white button down shirt.

Don’t get caught up in fashion to the point that you don’t get to decide yourself if you look good or not. Know yourself, know your body and decide to wear what you like and what looks great. Sometimes, fashion is just all about common sense.

The 411 On Pearls And Fashion

So you got some nice pearl jewelry that your husband bought for you for Valentine’s Day. Or perhaps your son surprised you with a nice pearl choker for Mother’s Day. Maybe Santa gave you a stunning pearl pendant for Christmas. With all this jewelry, do you know how to accessorize them with your wardrobe? If not, don’t panic. Pearl jewelry is very versatile; it will go well with just about anything, depending on size and color of the said jewelry. Here are some helpful hints on how to add flair to your everyday style with pearls.

Pearl jewelry is useless if you allow it to collect dust on your shelves or in your jewelry box; after all, it was designed as a fashion accessory. As mentioned before, pearl jewelry is incredibly versatile and can enhance any apparel or attire depending on the occasion and the kind of attire you will be wearing. Medium-sized white pearls would go wonderful with a red evening dress while smaller white pearls would go great with a business pantsuit. Obviously, there is a time and place to wear pearl jewelry. Evening parties and a night at the opera house are two acceptable occasions to wear this kind of jewelry; likewise, a job interview or a day at the beach are occasions when pearl jewelry is NOT acceptable to be worn.

For those looking to dress up for a night on the town or to a formal dinner party, teardrop pearl jewelry is a must-have! No matter what your skin tone is, white teardrop pearl jewelry is the best for formal wear. For white dresses or pantsuits, teardrop pearls in a cream color or an off-white hue is perfect (white jewelry with white clothes will “disguise” the jewelry). Teardrop pearl earrings with added Cubic Zirconium diamonds are the perfect accessories to a black, spaghetti strap dress. They also go well with prom dresses, too.

If teardrop pearls don’t interest you, then try round or “off round” pearls to go with your formal wear. These pearls are what most people imagine pearls to be like: round, white or light pink, and full of luster. A pink pearl necklace made from round pearls will dazzle any light colored eveningwear. For darker clothing, wear a 2 or 3 row pearl necklace as a choker. This kind of jewelry is also perfect for any bridal ensemble, especially in a light pink pastel color. They also make great pearl earrings as well as pendants.

So you don’t go to formal dinner parties but you still want to wear your pearls, right? Don’t sweat; you can still wear them with a short-sleeved top or button-down blouse with a pair of blue jeans (you can also wear them with a white blouse and a pantsuit for work, too). It all depends on the color of both the pearls and the blouse. Light black round pearls with a blue overtone look perfect with a white blouse and blue jeans as a bracelet or a pair of earrings. As a necklace, they would look best if spaced out instead of a full row of pearls. If you like pastel colors, pastel pink, lavender, or a light orange will work just as good. If you want to wear pearls with a sundress, pastel colored pearls would look fine as long as the sundress has solid colors. If your dress is multi-colored, then go for pearls that are bigger and darker in color (preferably in a single color) to contrast the colors of the dress (note that bigger pearls are more expensive) and it should be in one of the colors that are in the dress itself.

If properly cared for, your pearl jewelry should last a long time. Some pearl jewelry has been kept as heirlooms for generations! If you would like to create a special necklace for a young family member albeit your daughter, granddaughter, niece, etc., here’s a nifty idea that you can try. Starting with the first birthday (or any birthday before the age of five), add one or a few pearls to a silk strand and do this for each birthday. When the girl finally reaches her 18th birthday, her necklace will be a complete strand of pearls! It would make a great birthday gift or graduation present. Better yet, keep adding more pearls (as space allows) and give the necklace to her to wear for her wedding. Who knows, maybe she’ll keep it as an heirloom and pass it down to her children.

Pearls are attractive as jewelry, but what if you want to include other items in your bracelet or necklace? What you can do is “mix it up.” Simply mix saltwater and freshwater pearls together in a pattern (preferably in two or three different colors). You can also use coral beads and semi-precious gemstones to the mix as well. Like regular pearls, you can use the same color or mix and match for a pattern, depending on your personal taste and your creativity. Remember, the only limit is your imagination!

Now that you know how to wear your pearls with your clothes, let’s talk about how to take care of your pearl jewelry. Unlike the other jewelry you have in your collection, pearl jewelry cannot be tossed around anywhere. You don’t want to damage the pearls, especially if you’ve invested a great deal of money to buy them. Never put them in a place where they can be scratched up or where the strand can be broken. Make sure that they are in an area where they cannot be reached by young children or pets. The last thing you want is a $100 pearl necklace to be torn to pieces by your dog.

To keep your pearls clean and free of perfumes and sweat (trust us, everyone sweats), clean them with a soft cloth and light soapy water. Pat them dry and put them in a SEPARATE jewelry case away from your regular jewelry, preferably in individual cases if you have a long, expensive pearl necklace so that they don’t rub up against each other. This way, your pearls will stay lustrous and beautiful for a long time.

In short, pearl jewelry is versatile for most occasions and apparel. They can be worn at cocktail parties, business meetings, weddings, and even at a casual stroll at the mall. They can be given to young women as coming-of-age gifts or for anytime. Whatever the occasion, you can certainly count on pearl jewelry to make your clothes as well as yourself look stylish!

Trendy Fashion Options - Fashion Trend Setters Go Naked To Prove A Point

Do you as a fashion trend setter know, that the clothes/Jewelry you wear tells a story about you as an individual? It is fact; the way you dress and present yourself in public dominantly speaks volumes about your whole domain. It is the onlooker on the street that holds the ending chapter when weighing up what type of person they think you are from the clothes you wear. More often than not people tend to conjure up a personal opinion based on the whole entity of your image. Regardless of what fashion designer gear is displayed in the fashion boutique window, remember, the dummy is not out to make an impression. To dress to impress is all well and good, however it is who you wish to impress that may cause the denial of a friendship or worse a relationship if dress sense (code) is not suitable.

Latest trendy fashion designs can be dressed up or down for approval in certain situations. Sadly to make an impression you may find you have to make changes e.g. choice of identity (style) just to please folks who label you as being a fashion freak.

A first impression is where you make an impact on others, this is crucial if you seek acceptance into a particular circle of friends. Unfortunately fashion trend setters are judged by the clothes they wear.

Judgemental opinions should be kept under wraps because, it is not what is on the outside that counts, it's the warm inner beauty on the inside that really matters.

However people find this hard to understand or in some cases do not want to understand that fashion trend setters - really are nice people regardless of the stud in the nose or Medusa hairstyle. Some fashion trend setters are seen as outcasts and therefore suffer rejection all because of the clothes that is worn.

A couple of examples below will tell you how the latest fashion or your very own personal wardrobe can let you down.

1 "Vacancy for bank manger"; you dress in creations designed by Vivienne Westwood for your interview, (orange skirt, black fishnet stockings purple shawl and pink bows in your hair), and before your foot is through the door, you are shown it after being told the position has been filled. A judgmental opinion on your appearance has just lost the bank a fashion trend setter with an IQ of a 160.

2 What of the toffee nosed snob in the office spruced up in his pin striped suit, tie and briefcase? Sadly he loses out on love because of status issues, i.e. choosing to ignore the petite flower hippie girl he passes each morning going to the office. His world is only in acceptance of seamed stockings stilettos and hair neatly pinned up. "Wrong move" many an office clerk has ended up with a bird with no brains.

Remember "Never judge the book by the cover" Seeing through an image can result in a perfect relationship/friendship.

For those with status issues who pass judgement and make false assumptions about a person based purely upon the garments they wear, then look - listen and learn from the example below.

1 Take the fashion trend setter dressed in combat pants, boots - baseball cap and pierced tongue

2 Take the female office assistant dressed in a tailor made suit, sling back patent shoes and hair neatly clipped in a bun.

3 Take the hippie dressed in ankle length skirt, leather sandals, flowers in her hair and bells round her neck
Now strip the 3 ladies down to the bare essentials (naked) and what do we have. Yes a triple duplication of the female species. The only difference may be that of size and weight in each woman. There is a lesson to be learned from this and that is, you have no story due absent content. Without clothes we have no character to base a story on.

Fashion trend setters who want to make a good impression on their first date, need to keep their clothes on. You do not undress to impress at least until you know your partners name.

Eco-Friendly Fashion Footwear: Cruelty Free Fashion Shoes Every Woman Must Have This Fall/Winter

Most Vegan women like myself dread of the thought that over 35 million beautiful, intelligent animals are killed just for their fur or leather on their backs (and that’s only the wintertime!), but that doesn’t stop us from being every bit as stylish as our carnivorous counterparts. Except for the fact, that we only want cruelty-free fashion, we have the same desire to collect dozens upon dozens of sandals, sneakers, loafers, flip-flops, knee-high boots, and other footwear for our shoe wardrobe. Ten years ago, this would have been a challenge – one that would seem almost impossible as all vegan shoes practically looked the same.

Nowadays, finding cruelty-free shoes isn’t as hard as it sounds. Now more than ever, companies are beginning to cater to those with a cruelty-free fashion sense and are now offering a wider variety to choose from. As this trend continues to emerge, the only challenge you will have is figuring out how many shoes do you really need. You’ll have to begin asking yourself how many of them do you really love, and how many fit well, complement your fashion style and are versatile enough to serve multiple purposes.

Here are 5 fall/winter fashion shoe styles to help you create a cruelty-free shoe wardrobe so all encompassing, so perfect, that no matter what the occasion is, you'll have just the right eco-friendly shoe

1. One pair of weather-protective footwear.

If you could only buy one boot in your life, an eco-friendly, air-seal range boot like the 14-Eye Boot from Vegetarian Shoes is the one to go with. If you spend a good amount of time outdoors, go with two pairs. Air-seal range boots sporting steel tipped toe and a sole made from rubber tires will provide you with that everlasting quality you need and want.

2. One or two pairs of fashion boots in a medium or dark neutral.

These leather alternative boots are classic enough for work-wear yet sexy enough to add an edge to jeans and an everyday tee. Top-of-the-calf boots with a flat heel are one of the cold weather season’s hottest looks, but are surprisingly in-demand even as the weather grows warmer. For those of you who love the Engineer boots, but want something a little more fitted, the Biker boots are perfect! When you’re feeling a little “rebel”, wear them as biker boots. When your style is more classic looking, just take off the buckle, instantly providing you with simple, comfortable boots that go with everything.

3. One pair of chic looking boots

Almost knee high boots like the Aurora, give you a chic look with straight skirts and classic-cut trousers. They can be worn with bare legs or opaque winter stockings. Plus, they work well with formal and near-formal wear, they add sophistication to jeans, and instantly dress up a denim skirt and cardigan like nothing else can. You can also get the same look with Alta style that is only 11” from the top of the shoe to the bottom of this eco-friendly fashion footwear. The upper is made from the highest quality synthetic micro-fibers while the lining is usually comprised of extremely soft synthetic micro-fibers or fleece.

4. One pair of neutral-colored casual boots for the weekend

A woman can never go wrong with classics such as the Amy boot. Your weekend casual cruelty-free boot should have an extremely soft and flexible sole making it extremely comfortable for all day wear. Make sure your casual eco-friendly boots exteriors are made of “leather" like synthetic micro-fibers giving you that stylish look, while the interior is made of a soft cotton lining and a generous foot bed that will accommodate your feet.

5. One pair of attractive non-leather sneakers.

The fall time is the perfect time to run around the track at your nearby park, and enjoy your surroundings. Whether your eco-friendly non-leather sneakers are made from hemp or synthetic micro-fibers, they are go well with your tracksuit, yet hard-working enough to perform at the gym. The best athletic/sporty shoes are the pairs that have an extremely supportive EVA sole, and a thick padded tongue.

If you follow the above tips you will create the perfect eco-friendly fall/winter woman's fashion footwear wardrobe, that no matter what the occasion is, you will have the perfect non-leather shoe. Remember, no one can have fashion without compassion.

Fashion Business Tips: Find The Way To Present Your Fashion Design Items To The Public

A lot of student who graduated from fashion design school somehow has expectation of having their own fashion design business. Some of them may want to be a designer and just want to have own little studio then taking the job from outside, mean while some other want to join reputable fashion design schools or institutes or even work for the company which can pay highest income. However, the fashion business today has more variety of options. As the fashion business actually can be started from very small scale like family business where one or two family member could set up by using only little budget, to the very large fashion items manufacturers.

There are so many business owners who are now are very successful and are the owner of very famous fashion design companies, and these people started their business only from home business. However, it is fairly to say that at present time, there will be only a little chance for the home business to become success without having huge amount of money. Therefore, many of graduates who finish from good fashion school and they also paid the expensive tuition fee may not want to go back to start his/her own home business for just to get a little of money.

Even though the key of success seem to be the money that designer have to invest on the business, but in fact, the most important thing that is really keys of the success is the idea of the design. No matter the size of the business that you have just started, it is very important for you that you have to find the chance to get your design out to the public and if your design are acceptable by the market, then you will have more work as well as possibility to expand your business.

There are so many for example of the people who just started from very small home business but finally gain reputation from their design and it means that you can gain reputation by doing in the same way too!. The most effective way to present your design items to the word it the internet. If we were in ten years back from now, I would say that there is very least chance for small business to compete with giant companies because there are very limited channel for small business to present products to public.

But now we are in internet age, where everything is possible and the competitive advantage is no longer limited by the size of the business at all. There are places on the internet to present your work and also not just to present and you can sell them on line as well. There are also many of online auction site that you can capture the market and sell your products. It is the place where any one who wants to sell not only fashion item goes and present the design to people all over the world. Now it is you decision if you are one of the people who want to start up your fashion design career and want to gain competitive advantage of your design.

Bring Back Old Fashion as New Fashion With Flat Golf Caps

Golf caps have a number of styles and options that you can wear if you have the desire to cover your head while you are playing. One of those styles is a hat called the flat hat or the ivy hat. The ivy hat dates back to the 19th century when men use to wear them all the time at work and at social gatherings. Known for its flat to the head style and the tiny and stiff brim in the front, they gained, lost and regained popularity in the span of a few centuries. The flat golf caps are especially popular in European countries and are work significantly over there.

Ivy caps have been around longer than a lot of the caps that are popular today and yet the flat cap is still going strong with celebrities, musicians, sports people and others. The flat golf caps are worn by a number of professional c=golfers. Think of the flat beanie type looking hat that you have seen on the street and this is what we are talking about. They are popular, stylist and light to wear. They do not do a lot when it comes to blocking the sun but those that wear them are aware of their limitations.

These flat golf caps have seen many years of popularity followed by a long period of obscurity and now they are being worn again. They are available in many different colors and sizes but the style is pretty steady in the flat, no height size with the almost non-existent front brim. There are those flat caps that have ear flaps too but you don’t see them worn too often, at least not on the golf course (unless you are in Scotland perhaps). The designs that you can get on these caps are pretty diverse though such as pinstripes, plaids and solids.

These are the types of caps you either love or hate and when trying to get them for your golf game you might have to go to a specialty store to find them rather than a sporting goods store or a pro shop. Flat golf caps are very popular in Europe so you might find them in those golf stores but in the United States you will probably have better luck finding them in the online stores or other specialty type stores that you are aware of.
For sure the flat golf caps are not the most popular ones worn on the tour and when you go play a round of golf the majority of people will have on ball caps. There are a lot though that do like these caps and if you are one of them you should learn where to find them by browsing the internet and seeing if you can find them anywhere. You can key word search for them and you will get a listing of all the places that you might find them. The prices will vary so make sure you price around before your purchase anything. Like anything else online, you can always find it cheaper.

Fashion - Today`s Colour In Fashion Will It Suit Your Complexion

Fashion - Why do women and beauty products work well together, the answer to that is quite simple, cosmetics make you look beautiful and women want to be beautiful so there you have it - a match made in heaven - the perfect duo. Today`s fashion and latest shades in lipstick is no guarantee to looking beautiful if you are not feeling good about yourself.

It`s a funny old world - the fashion world. Take those glamour models that grace the catwalk with the latest in fashion design - only to go and mess the entire look of the whole outfit with an expression of depression along with a ridiculous unbalanced walk like that of a woman who has just downed 10 pints of lager - now where is the beauty in that I ask you.

Remember never to imitate the pose of a model on a night out with friends because that friendship may just cease and heaven forbid if you are looking for a date with the opposite sex - then the chances of that happening are zilch. If you want to impress then it is all down to how you dress. You will always be at your best if you feel good. A smile radiates beauty so regardless of what the fashion it is you adorn - be sure to smile and that is half of the battle won in feeling good and looking beautiful

Why is it you wear the same colours when you go out? Why is it you feel that a certain colour is not ideally suited to your complexion even though it is in fashion? Well now is the time to change all that. Todays fashionable colours are just oozing to expel your beauty within. Positive results are guaranteed after you have boosted your confidence into looking beautiful with the latest in fashion styles and colours.

For example if you are not partial to the colour green or orange up next to the skin, well that is fine, but, at the time you decided this colour was not for you, did you ever give it a minutes thought that it was just that particular shade of green that you were not comfortable with. Remember there are 40 shades of green, now do you get my drift. Now as for orange - a colour that does need to be given much thought behind for a person`s skin tone - but if you like orange then dress it up with accessories to compliment the shade itself - this will work wonders.

Just by changing the shade of one particular colour and style of dress can be the start of finding the real beauty within. Your inner beauty may have lain static for far to long all because you took for granted that the first bright lime green luminous blouse you ever tried on was not for you, therefore leaving you resisting future fashion garments in green, But did you ever consider replacing that lime green blouse for pretty cowl neck musky jade shade.. Also a change of hairstyle can alter your whole image along with the colour that you banished from the wardrobe.

It is sad - but there are many women who are confused and believe that a certain colour does them no justice - when at the end of the day it may have been their choice in the shade.

Fashion Jewelry – What’s in and What’s Not

When the term ‘fashion jewelry’ is applied, it is important to remember that the keyword here is ‘fashion’ and that in itself should be able to tell you about the kind of jewelry that we are talking about. Cheap or maybe not and here today and gone tomorrow. Like clothes fashion jewelry too changes with the season. If you are someone who tires easily then this type of jewelry is perfect for you. Here’s a look at what you can expect in trends of fashion jewelry this season:

The Look

The ‘punk’ look is definitely out but the ‘girly’ look is in. Good or bad news? Well that depends entirely on you. Fashion jewelry seems to be making a comeback and how! Chunky chains, bracelets, toe rings, larger than life earrings are all fading away. The look now is more delicate. Having said this, the one thing that seems to be in common for all fashion jewelry, chunky or not is that silver seems to be the unanimous color of choice.

The ‘Bling’ thing

Glitter is definitely in. The more the better! Sparkling fashion jewelry is really hot this season. Zircon earrings, necklaces, bracelets on both hands are definitely a must have. Wearing these goes a long way in completing the girly look. The one good thing about glittering fashion jewelry is that if worn properly it can also pass of as classy jewelry with a formal outfit without looking too loud or outlandish.

The stone story

Stones have always been an integral part of fashion jewelry. Artificial, colored and semi precious stones is what gives fashion jewelry most of their charm. Artificial stones are available in almost any color to match your outfits and moods. Stones like zircons and semi precious stones like jade and turquoise give fashion jewelry an air of timeless elegance and class. Rhinestones are also making a comeback and are excellent to complete that girlie look.

Timeless classics

While fashion jewelry comes and goes with the wind, there are some timeless classics that will never ever go out of style. It would do you good to have these as part of your collection. It is probably as integral a part of your wardrobe as a little and long black dress is. Single stone earrings and pendants are always a good thing to have.

Zircons, red and green stones make for wise buys. Pearls, both black and white are also a must have. Single stand pearl necklaces and earrings will never ever go out of style and what’s more? They can be teamed with almost anything you wear. Pearls might not be sparkly like the other stones, but it can do wonders for a subtle, chic and classy look.

The best part about fashion jewelry is that you never need to throw things away. Just recycle. Put away the jewelry from last season – it’s sure to make a comeback sometime soon. Having said all of this, if what you have read doesn’t appeal to you, then there’s not need to sweat it, it’ll soon be out of fashion. Who knows the fashion trends next season might bend in your favor.

Fashion - Why Are Fashion Freaks Walking Human Oddities

Why is it - that trendy fashion freaks are labelled as such? .Well let me tell you a little secret in the way of a - wake up call. What we need to do at this stage is first decipher what the word freak means. There can be many different renditions of the word - but if we are talking fashion then that is a horse of a different colour as the saying goes.

If you have been called a freak at some stage in your life then the person on the end of the abusive tongue may see you as a sort of human oddity. The word can also denote an image of unusual or deformed vision.
Fashion is a serious business where we all like and love to keep up with the latest trend but however in saying that, you need to sit back and ask yourself - are you going over your budget or are you next in line for an onslaught of abusive remarks all because you are following the fashion traits of today. Listen up guys and gals, how can any one fashion designer dress every individual on the planet of every different shape and size and still get it right?

So there you have it in black and white - not everyone will be ideally suited to the platform shoe, denim dungarees or the up the bum thong that is in fashion - could this be the answer to why a person is called a fashion freak. Another matter you have to address is why you dress up in the latest fashion creations, is it for you or for others.

Regardless of what is said a great many people will still choose to go on wearing the fresh new designs that grace the rails of our fashion boutiques - and rightly so - on this I agree, but only if that particular design is suitable and able to take that inner beauty from within, so that you can inject that warm beauty to glow on the outside while wearing the in thing (fashion garment).

Listen up ladies and gents if you want to make an impression by wearing garments as such then get it right. There are some folk than can pull off wearing any outfit even if it appears that it was purely designed for Coco the clown - but unfortunately if you are one of those people that will evidently portray the look of a clown regardless of what you do to alter it - in the way of adding accessories, then do not fret. Remember beauty is in the eye of the beholder so let the beholder be you when making decisions on what you feel will look right as well as comfortable..

Decisions made to put the latest designs into the high street boutiques - were those made by that of clowns them self. (Fashion designers)

Footwears For Fun Fashion

Fashion is not just about a temporary style statement. They create impressions and some impressions last forever. This winter fashion, keep hold of a necessary and stylish pair of women fashion shoes and maintain them. Know the purpose of the shoes. When you are selecting something for a party, a good pair of high heels either in pencil or platform heel goes with pants, skirts and even jeans. Try out the feet flaunting ones with a sexy strip and open toe front. Remember that black goes with everything but don’t be too boring or predictable. With an open front, get those nails nice and shiny and walk in with an attitude.

For a more casual hangout, search for comfortable flats. Here, avoid high heels and this goes as red lights to those with a job that requires you to stand all day. Have summer colors glow in trendy floaters. If your personality is more boyish, then floaters and sneakers are the ones to keep in mind. Coming geographically to South Asia, with a girlie look in simple salwar kameez, there is always the Kohlapuri Chappals as well as the Rajasthani Jutis for a neat yet fun look. If there is a lot of running involved, stick to flat compact sandals. On the other hand, with a bit more dare, try out semi heels with beads and stones to give an extra glaze on those feet..

For the cold feet in those interviews

As nervous as you may be, in an interview, they say that the first and last thing those people notice are your shoes. It’s the same notion, when it comes to the condition of shoes for women – they must be well maintained. Black is simple, chic, easy on the eye and they just claim professionalism. Yet, going for navy is safe too. Just make sure to compliment the wear and the bag to carry in and always avoid light colored shoes unless you know that your future is in white, that is the navy or for a nursing position. Also avoid suede along with crazy metallic sparkles. Safe the glitters or sequins for the crazy clubbing you will be doing once you have the job.

In classic leather, nothing says glamor with an edge. Remember, this is not the flat soled cloth type. There is just a basic structure at play, a leather pump in style along with a neat cut and a thin strap ending. They are best worn with skirts. If high is too high for those nerve racking knees, try out flat or ballet style shoe which also comes in leather. With a traditional cut, whether plain or decorated with slight grosgrain bow at the toe, never go overboard. A casual ballet slipper best with jeans or khakis is the other option.

When it comes to shoes and situation, comfort should come first. So jingle in flipflops in a tea party, run wild in sporty wears in the morning jog and keep it sweet and sexy the rest of the day.

Following the New Fashion Fall

There is a common belief that if you don’t have money, you will have a hard time surviving a fashion requirement that you long to have. Wrong. You can really be fashionable with the right judgment and resources. Sometimes, there are alternatives to a part of the whole wardrobe that we do not see.

Indeed, buying the original wardrobe will be costly. But you can always ask the assistance of a tailor to make a duplicate or generic one for you. There are some cases that brands are not essential. Why else do you think most fashion designers hate showing off their stuff in magazines?

Not all fashion trends can be seen on television or daily routines where we may find ourselves. Fashion magazines are there for a purpose. While not all of us are that aggressive when it comes to reading and seeing the latest trends in the fashion industry, it just remains that we normally get ideas from the things we see in them.

This is not to say that we will be dressing in the way that we see it. We can improvise in different ways. While some people tend to follow fashion to the letter, it remains that we just have to consider what we think suits us best.

Casual and leather shoes are normally picked out depending on the occasion or event that most people find themselves in. For some it would not matter at all especially if you are not the dressy type. But for special functions like let us say weddings or receptions, you just have to groom yourself properly and this includes how you want your image to be respected.

Some improvise when it comes to fashion. Today, there are shoes that are considered universal. Universal in the sense that they can pass for casual or formal shoes. Whatever the case may be, it is being comfortable and fit for wherever you may be going that is important.

Fashion and styling is generally more particular for the women rather than the men. While we have a couple of people who are sensitive on the way they look, comparing both sides will reveal that women are more prone towards following and setting fashion trends today.

Men can follow a simple yet elegant life if they so please. The thing here is that signature clothes and apparels are nothing if men do not endorse them. Between the two just take note. You will find that men are more prone to make do with what they can get their hands on.

If you want to find some point of reference when it comes to what new style you want to follow, check out your favorite celebrities. Actresses, most especially, are normally the ones who kick it all off. When you see something different, it is a case of two things, like it or not!

They are the best bet to kick of a fashion statement. With all the publicity hounding them, they are bound to get noticed. We often see most of them being criticized by the media but that is just the point. With all the attention over their stuff, they are bound to be something that people want…attention!

Keep Up With the Fashion Trends and Avoid These Common Fashion Blunders

Celebrities have the tendency to look good even when there is an obvious wardrobe malfunction. Well, super famous people need nothing of our approval and they will dress whatever style they suit. And even if they appear on worst dress awards, they don't seem to care. Surprisingly, they seem to create their own fashion trends that everyone accepts. But for average people, clothes that are so wrong are really… wrong. So before you commit the capital sins of fashion, try to be reminded that fashion trends in the streets are what you should follow.

Don't go back to the 90s. Fashion trends change as soon as you have decided to embrace them. But it doesn't mean it won't come back. We've seen how fashion trends come back from previous decades, but the 90s is certainly not in right now. What's with the 90s that really makes us look so bad today? Just look at your pictures 10 years ago or movies that are at least 10 years old and you'll get what we mean. Ten years from now, you'll be looking at your pictures or videos we made today. How will we see ourselves then? Only time will tell. Meantime, you just don't want to wear platform sneakers that made the Baby Spice of the Spice Girls the 90s fashion icon.

Less is definitely more. This phrase may apply for certain things but if we are talking about too short skirt, dress or pants, there is something wrong with your fashion. Take note that there is only one room in fashion that doesn't change: if you are not comfortable with what you wear, don't wear it. So if you are always too conscious when you sit down without having to worry about exposing areas of your body that you don't want to be seen, then, you have no business in wearing it.

Too trendy is not trendy. Trendy is a term used when you are "in style", but adding "too" gives a whole new meaning. Layers are good only if you know how to do it. Accessories are fine only if you know how to mix and match. But if you go beyond the line, you just end up looking silly so try not to attempt wearing too good just to adapt the latest fashion trends. You may just end up looking too bad.

Exposing your undergarments. You probably know this already, but it seems that some need to be reminded. Keep your bra and panty hidden. This goes to everyone no matter which style they follow.

80s is still not in. You may love Janet Jackson, but the fashion trends during the 80s can never be accepted in our time. Make sure that you avoid baggy pants, too much denim, and matching it with curly hair.

There are ways to dress up, look good. You may or may not even have to follow the current fashion trends. But the bottom line here is if you want to look normal, at least during this time, you wear what others wear. You don't lose your personal taste in the process. You just have to make sure that you know what the things you should avoid.

What Is Your Fashion Style?

When it comes to clothing do you usually stick to one particular style or should you be called a fashion scientist due to the tremendous amount of attention you pay to trends. It can also be possible that you are not aware of your personal style. Whether you are aware of your style or not read this guide to learn a little bit more about it and what changes you can make (if desire).

1. Sexy Lexis- Lexis is all about wearing clothes that reveal skin such as cleavage and fit extra tight. She may feel that conservative or unrevealing clothing are only for older people. Lexis might need to learn when to tone down her sexy image. For example: She should avoid walking in to church wearing a blouse with a plunging neckline. Unless, she is ready to receive a few dirty looks.

2. Care-Lesley- She wonders: What is Fashion? Can I eat with cheese? She really does not know what the latest trend is and frankly can care less. Lesley should try something new once in a while just for fun and avoid getting stuck on a specific style.

3. Rebellious Chica-She makes her own rules when it comes to fashion. Avoids to all extends looking like everyone else. Just like sexy lexis some circumstances will require toning down her personal style. On a job interview she should conform to the expected attire standards. At least until she lands the job.

4. Fashion Diva-Her middle name is style. Always on top of her image and hates to be seen more than once wearing an outfit. Keeping up with fashion trends can get quite expensive. She needs to watch her finances closely in order to avoid overspending.

5. Sporty Lady- She loves her jeans and sneakers and will not go anywhere with out them. She should play dress up once in a while. This will help her look and feel better, even if the changes are temporary.

6. Comfy Carmen-Carmen is all about comfort. She chooses her attire based on the way it feels. She should steer away from bulky looking shoes that will make her feet look wider or bigger and clothing that fit too loosely. Clothes that are too big will make anyone look heavier and older.

7. Elegant Elenin- Elenin is always dress to impress. She will not allow anyone to see her dressed down. However, it will be beneficial for her to loosen up or dress comfortably once in a while. People can not look perfect all the time.

8. Stuck in time- This type of person does not remember the last time she bought a piece of clothing. She will not stop wearing her clothes until it has a hole in it. She should avoid using the same clothing for too many years until it comes back in style (20 years later).

9. Balanced Brianna- She probably has one of the other personal styles mentioned in this guide but, understands clearly the certain situations require she dresses up or down. She will not be hesitant to try a new style as long as it does not make her look like a fool.

Are the Fashion Police After You

There are lots of different things that you should keep in mind when it comes to fashion. Sometimes, it is important to think about the way that you look and the way that others see you. It is important to look and feel your best so that you can continue to be successful at your life. In order to avoid being called in by the fashion police, there are a few tips that you can follow, and a few coupons that you can use to allow you to get great fashion at a fraction of the cost.

First of all, a good way to think about staying in fashion is just to pay attention to what people are wearing around you. Looking at the ads and finding coupons for great deals isn't going to help you unless you know what you want to look like. Look at the people who are around you each day and see what they are wearing, and the people you think look the best should have a great example of the fashion that you want to aspire to.

It doesn't take much to be in fashion. Something that you want to remember is a lot about fashion is simply being comfortable with who you are and being in clothing that is comfortable as well. You can do this easily, and you can allow yourself to have the pleasure of looking great while you do. It shouldn't be something that is hard, and with the right coupons, it doesn't need to be something that is expensive, either.

If you know the type of style you are looking for, then look through your wardrobe and see which things match that type of style, and which things are on the outs. If you find something that you know you never wear and is outdated, then replace that item with something that is newer and more in style. A good way to be sure that the fashion police aren't going to be knocking down your door is to get a general idea of the things that you look the best in, and then make sure that those things are found in your closet.

Buying great fashion shouldn't have to be that expensive either. The fashion police aren't going to be about making sure that you have the most expensive styles – they'll just want to know that you look like you are in style. Finding great coupons allows you to buy great looking clothes from stores that you'd shop at normally, which means that you can get a great deal on something that you already know you love. With the right coupons in hand, you can avoid those fashion police and make absolutely sure that you look your best at all times. It isn't hard to make sure that you are in fashion, and if you need to, you can keep adding to your wardrobe as time goes on. Using coupons is a great way to allow yourself to be in style.

Fashion for the Over 50s

Women’s fashion is for every lady no matter what their age. But as you get older the sort of clothes that you want to wear will probably change. In your fifties, you will need to make careful choices about which pieces of clothing will flatter you and make you look amazing but that does not mean that you can’t have fun with your clothes. You can still follow fashion as you did in your twenties, thirties and forties, it is just about finding the right fashions that look age appropriate and compliment your natural beauty.

In your fifites should aim to choose ladies clothing that looks fashionably stylish rather than stylishly fashionable. In other words, style should be upmost in your mind and of primary importance. You can also look fashionable but it should never be to the detriment of your style. Pick and choose from the latest trends and find the pieces that work for you. You can also adapt trends as you like perhaps by just wearing an on trend accessory with a classic piece of ladies clothing.

Your Changing Body

Your fifites is a time when you may find that your body changes, you may put on or lose weight and you may also find that your body shape changes. You may also notice that your skin colour and tone changes and your hair may go grey or you may opt to dye you hair a different colour. All of these things may change the style of women’s clothing that looks good on you. You may find that ladies fashion that has suited you in the past doesn’t look so good now. Reassess your clothes and get rid of anything that no longer suits you.

Styles

You should follow the general style rules depending on your body shape and choose dresses to flatter no matter what your size. You will probably find that you look best in dresses and tops with sleeves and styles that are not too low cut. Collared tops, dresses and jackets are a great choice for over fifties as they cover the neck which can be one of the places which shows the most obvious signs of age. As a general rule classic styles of ladies clothes will usually look best when you are over fifty but you can follow fashions by looking for these with details and patterns that fit with the latest trends.

Colours

You should reassess which colours look best on you as you may find that as your colouring changes, you will look better in more muted and subtle colours. Try substituting grey, beige or even navy for black, which can look a little harsh and consider colour schemes that combine complementary rather than clashing colours.

Cut and fit

There is never a time in your life when the cut and fit of your womens clothing was more important. Your clothes should always fit perfectly and soft tailoring works particularly well as it creates a stylish and smooth silhouette. You should shop in store that sell well cut ladies fashion as this will make all the difference.

Accessories

Accessories are one of the easiest ways to add a bit of fun and fashion to womens clothes without sacrificing style. Just be careful not to over so it. One statement accessory is usually enough.

Fashion: Accessorizing Do’s And Don’ts

When it comes to accessories, many individuals are unaware of the appropriate items that will best work with their outfit. No matter how much fashion experience you have in the clothing world, even the best of us are at a loss when it comes to adding spunk and pizzazz with accessories. There are so many options available, it is easy to throw up your hands and agree to live a life completely void of any accessories. Instead, look carefully at these accessorizing do’s and don’ts before you swear off these delightful items that will add polish to any outfit.

Accessorizing Do’s

Do choose accessories that will enhance your outfit. Look at your outfit’s colors, feel, and texture when choosing appropriate accessories. Work to find accessories that will successfully benefit a variety of wardrobes to stretch your budget and the items available to you.

Do strive to follow current trends when accessorizing your wardrobe. Fashionistas everywhere follow the fashion magazines to see exactly what is considered in and what is totally out when it comes to accessories. Gone are the days of leg warmers, so strive to say current with your accessory options and buy items that are with today’s hottest trends.

Do strive to have that one signature piece that accessorizes your outfit. Many individuals work around a particular piece or a theme when it comes to accessorizing their outfits. For example, look to include a silk scarf in all your outfits or make your signature piece a stunning brooch or necklace that can easily be added to any wardrobe.

Accessorizing Don’ts

Don’t choose an accessory that overpowers your outfit. Remember, it is called an accessory because you use it to work with your wardrobe, not completely overshadow you or your clothing. Avoid large, flashy, or brightly colored items that can take the focus away from you.

Don’t wear every current trend at once. Although it is important to stay up to date with today’s hottest trends, a do can quickly become a don’t when worn together at once.

Don’t choose the same, expected pieces each time. If your signature look includes a particular accessory, look to incorporate it in unique ways with each outfit. Turn your signature scarf into a head wrap or tie it to your handbag. Place your signature brooch on unique items, like a belt or fasten it to your back pocket. Work to keep your signature item fresh and innovative.

Fashion Tips to Help You Out

Are you having a hard time dealing with fashion and usually end up forgetting about it altogether? Don’t worry you are not the only one confused when it comes to fashion and a lot of women like you are looking for simple tips that could them out. Here are a few things that you can do at the convenience of your home.

Fast and Easy Things You can Do

Invite close friends together and have a mini-modeling session. Try on all your favorite clothes and take note on what flatters you, your body type and your skin tone. Then once you have that down on paper, shop for similar colors, fabrics, textures, cuts and lengths. This is one great way to make sure that most or even everything in your wardrobe looks good on you.

Always be cautious about the fit. If you like a piece but it doesn’t fit right, it still wouldn’t look good on you. The best thing for you to do is compromise by having the piece altered. Take the dress or pants to a dressmaker and have it altered to fit you better.

A classic, well-cut suit that fits you right is an investment piece and would always look flattering on you. Just remember to get one in dark colors for they create long lines and give you the vertical lines that you want in order to look slimmer.

Always know your proportions. If you have a skinny bottom then chose fuller tops worn over narrow pants. For short waisted girls, opt for a long top with a short skirt. If you have a petite torso, then fitted tops with full pants is the best way to go.

When wearing bright colors, remember that they always bring attention to an area so wear colors wisely. If you want to draw attention to your legs then you might want to add a dash of color there compared to anywhere else.

When choosing prints - remember that the darker the background, the slimmer the look. Don’t be afraid to wear prints, just make sure that you find ones with overlapping images for they create a slimmer look rather than prints with wide spaces in between them. Also, scale the prints to your body size so that it doesn’t dwarf you nor make you look like an overstuffed turkey.

For tops, collared shirts frame your face and give your torso a few good inches. A v-neck is usually very flattering and makes your neck appear longer. Opt for boatneck if you want to minimize your hips and waists while at the same time emphasizing sexy shoulders.

For hosiery, make sure that your hose matches the color of your shoes and the color of your skirt. This somehow creates one long, flowing line and gives you the illusion of longer legs. If your legs are fuller on the inside, then a side slit is the best way to go but if your legs are full outside, then a back slit is a better choice.
Finally, there is no excuse for pantylines. They do not only look ugly, they also break the smooth silhouette that you want to achieve.

Fashion For Women

Shopping for women’s apparel has never been this good. The selections are getting wider and better, with so many different styles, designer labels, and off-the-rack outfits available for women of all sizes, shapes, and ages. The most important factors that women consider when buying fashion are still style and color. Comfort, fit, and designer labels are also significant factors that are considered in purchases. When choosing styles, women are now looking for apparel that they can wear both to work and to socialize. Pantsuits, skirt suits, blazers and the classic white blouse are favorites in the office, while off-the-rack outfits and jeans remain popular for casual wear.

When shopping for fashion, it’s important to know how to pick the right clothes for you. Merely copying what is touted as the current trend or what is “fashionable” will just make you a fashion victim. A wardrobe that is fashionable but still fits your lifestyle, your age, and your figure will be the best. Try to get a good mix of trendy and basic apparel, so that you won’t have to update your wardrobe every time a new fashion season comes along.

One of the hottest niches in the fashion industry is designing and marketing fashion apparel for teens. This is due to the fact that teenagers account for billions of dollars spent each year on clothing and accessories. Anyone will agree that teenagers are habitués of shopping malls, and discount apparel shops as well as designer outlets are picking up healthy profits from teens buying trendy outfits every season. Tank tops, athletic wear and sports shirts, short skirts and low-rise jeans are very popular items. Trendy clothes that sell at reasonable prices are hot for teenagers, and merchandisers who give them value along with great fashion benefit the most. As a result, stores like Wal-Mart and Target get more teenage sales than outlets like the Gap.

Denim wear continues to be an all-time favorite, especially for teens. Jeans, jackets, skirts, and shorts are hot as ever. Jeans now come in an assortment of styles, whether it’s slim fitting, low-waisted, or bootleg designs. As with all other fashion apparel, different styles are suitable for different wearers. For example, teens who want to appear more svelte-looking usually prefer low-rise jeans, while women with fuller figures like relaxed fit jeans for a sleeker look. Petite women with slim figures go for slim and snug designs, either with a tapered cut or boot-leg cut.

And denim doesn’t come in just blue and black anymore. Jeans are now made with colors ranging from the usual blue and black to light brown, red, and ochre. You can even find jeans with military-type designs and colors, like khaki and olive green. One of the factors that make jeans popular is the fact that they can be worn with almost anything. Jeans can be coordinated with jackets, shirts, peasant tops, blouses, or almost anything else you may find in your closet. Teenagers often love to decorate their jeans with embellishments like beads and crystals to give them more flair and individuality, as well as to make a personal statement. Along with a complementary jacket, a shirt, and a pair of trainers, this outfit remains one of the favorites among teenagers.

What Every Woman Should Know About Fashion

If you are the average woman, knowing all the ins and outs of fashion is not something you have time to learn and research. With our busy lives, we just buy what we think will look nice and is affordable. However, there are some simple rules you can follow to keep yourself “In Fashion”, so to speak. These rules are:

1. Don’t try to update your whole wardrobe at once! It’s always best to try out “a look” or “new fashion” before buying out the store. You may find that they look is great for you and then you can add more pieces when you can. Sometimes you will find the look is all wrong for you, so adding only a few pieces won’t break your bank account.

2. You should never buy something you feel you are ‘too old’ to wear! If you do buy it, you probably won’t wear it because you won’t feel comfortable in it.

3. You shouldn’t be scared to dress outside of your normal age group! When you are 55, that doesn’t automatically take mini skirts out of your wardrobe. Just because you are 22, that doesn’t mean you have to wear mini skirts, either. Go with the fashion and style you look good in and feel comfortable wearing.

4. Black clothes almost always look more flattering, expensive and sophisticated! Having some black “staple” clothing is always a good fashion idea.

5. When you don’t have money, don’t go shopping! Buying cheap clothing just because you went shopping is usually a bad investment. It won’t be what you really wanted and you probably won’t wear that fashion of clothing much.

6. Don’t shop based on fashion fads! When you’ve heard about a particular fashion fad, it will probably be over! Fad fashion never has a long lifespan, so stick with the general fashion trends.

7. Step outside your “fashion box” for a while! If you are normally conservative, try a miniskirt or some low cut jeans for a change. Not comfortable with that…just add a fringed or sequins handbag to your collection. Everyone, no matter their fashion sense, should have fun with the fashions they wear on occasion. Even though you will normally go back to your old look, you will probably have a new approach to it.

8. Don’t let fashion jeopardize your professional image! See-through, low neckline, sleazy fashions will never do wonders for your career. Those fashions are simply inappropriate for the 9 to 5 world.

9. Fashion is only a small part of the whole “you”! If you put a lot of time and effort into other aspects of your life, what you wear won’t be what everyone notices about you. Don’t spend all your time worrying about your wardrobe fashion.

10. When you look at fashion, it is all about YOU! Love a look…look great in it…can afford the clothing…then buy it! Fashion is just that simple!

Fashion And Love

Fashion, fashion, fashion – what is it? Fashion, of course, is what we see in fashion magazines and designer shop windows, but it is all there is to it? Don’t be misled. Fashion is also part of your life and not only to do with shopping and expensive boutiques. There are different aspects to it. First of all, not everything that is in fashion suits everyone and what suits one person might not suit another. Similarly, what looks beautiful in one situation might not look it in another. Furthermore, fashion is not only clothes; fashion is also style and personality.

This is where the phenomenon of mimicry comes in. Blind mimicry is distortion of fashion. There is always en extent to which one can and should follow the trends. At a certain point, your personality gives way. Do not miss out on that. This what really makes you look special and unique. It is especially painful to see fuller women squeeze into clothes that they bulge out of in order to look thinner. It is also uncomfortable to look at middle aged women trying to emulate fifteen year old anorexic models. No matter how thin your waist is, you will never be able to mask wrinkles and slight bodily deformities caused by age. What is left to do? Be yourself.

In all cases, it is important to wear clothes that would not make you look ”too young” or “too thin” and which would make you feel relaxed, unrestrained and confident. How do you look for such clothes? First you have to deal with yourself. Ask yourself who you are, what your character is like. Are you open? Do you like change? Are you active, or, on the contrary, not so? What is your occupation like?

When you see a woman wearing an eccentric red dress in the middle of the day, with the hair dyed red, you probably think that she has a mild psychological problem – lacking in balance, maybe a bit hysterical. And here is a middle aged woman (maybe a little on the big side, but it only adds to her femininity). She is wearing a free style dress made of natural material that does not get in her way. One would say classical style with elements of contemporary fashion. She looks original, move freely, and confidently. She is obviously enjoying herself, does not worry about taking her tummy in to conceal a recent meal or to avoid discomfort of an overly tight dress. This woman emanates harmony and tranquility. People usually like women like that and admire them. It has always been true that the best looking and most fashionable people are those in harmony with themselves and others. These are people who look after their bodies, but also their minds. Making sure that stress does not rule you over plays an important role. Forgetting and forgiving other people frees you from additional, unnecessary stress and saves your precious face from one more age mark. A daily walk in the forest or down the nearest toe path after work will not only fill your lungs with oxygen and air your head, but relax your body and mind and put a smile as well as a tranquil look on your face. Do not underestimate psychological wellbeing; it is a huge part of your good looks. Every bad thought results in an unpleasant feeling and consequently leads to bad behavior, which probably puts a new wrinkle on your face. People, who do not love themselves, do not love others.

Thus, in order to be loved and look good you have to be yourself, cherish what is beautiful in you not forgetting that you are already unique and you just have to let it show. Be natural in life, always work on your inner self and be better inside. The inner beauty shines through and on to your body. The only thing you have left to do then is give it an elegant and cozy touch with your stylish and characteristic clothes. If you feel comfortable and confident, people around you will feel this way too. You will always be not only fashionable but loving and loved too.
